Monochrome outfits seem to be everywhere at the moment. Whether in 60s style Dogtooth dresses or two tone ankle boots, you can’t get away from it.
Black and white can seem a little, well, safe but sometimes a little classic styling goes a long way!
Hat, H&M // Top, H&M // Trousers, Primark // Shoes, New Look
For me, monochrome is all about simplicity. These Baroque trousers from Primark are amazing for only £16 and bang on trend. You definitely need a pair of these in your wardrobe for this Autumn! They also come in a metallic blue which highlights the detailing but for work and smart occasions, these are perfect.
This hat is from H&M and is a firm favourite at the moment. It manages to make even the most basic outfit look cool and is the perfect level of accessorising for this look. I’m going to be honest, most of my male friends don’t really get it – “It just looks a bit weird”, “Is it too small for you?”, “You remind me of a butcher” are among the nicest comments but what the heck, we never dress for the boys anyway!
What do you think of the monochrome look? Do you already own a piece of the Baroque trend?
